Our Financials: A commitment to spending wisely and well
The Children’s Center of Hamden devotes its available resources to the direct care of the children and youth we serve. As a testament to that commitment, general and administrative expenses are less than 10% of total Agency expenses. Less than 2% of total Agency expenditures are used for fundraising.
Sources of funding
Operational funding is provided by the Department of Children and Families (DCF), tuition from local school systems, State Medicaid fees-for-services, State and Federal grants, managed care/health insurance, contributions from the parent corporation ‘The Children’s Center,’ as well as donations from individuals, businesses and foundations.
As a recognized 501(c)(3), our Form 990 is filed with the IRS each year. Click if you wish to view the Children’s Center’s fiscal year 2013 audited financial report.
